Access statement for The Ridgeway
Country Holiday Park
The Ridgeway Country Holiday Park is located on the side
of a gently sloping valley with caravans and lodges on three
levels, consisting of privately owned caravans with ten
lodges and caravans for hire. Upon entering the park there
is a road hump at the entrance and then another one 5 metres
into the park; with a further two along the main driveway.
At the entrance is the reception; a wooden building in the
style of a garden summer house. There is parking immediately
on the right in front of the wooden clad lodges.
Before entering the reception there is a stone step and
then another step onto the verandah of the reception. To
raise the attention of the park owners’ either ring
the door bell or ships bell or alternatively ring the main
telephone number. A pay phone, two garden arm chairs and
emergency and useful local numbers are available on the
reception verandah. The reception is lit by a sensor light.
The road surface is predominately tarmac however to each
hired accommodation there is a gravelled area for parking
the car. All the hire accommodation have wooden steps to
ascend, the number of steps to each unit is listed below

Once at the top of the steps, all the above listed accommodation
are on one level, apart from a entrance step of 90mm as
part of the double glazed front door frame.
All types of accommodation have carpets in the living and
bedroom areas with formica flooring in the bathrooms and
kitchens.
Dogs are welcome in all the types of accommodation. Dog
waste bins are encouraged to be used, dogs are welcome to
be exercised on the park or on the Sandstone trail; access
to it being at the lower end of the park by the laundry
room.
The laundry room is open 24 hours with a sensor light in
use on the outside of the building and inside in the front
porch, once inside there is a pull-down cord.
Please note the caravans and lodges are not adapted for wheelchair users.
